To get you excited about the upcoming boating season, especially for those living near Lake Erie, and to motivate you to do well in life take a look at the Azimut 72S...
Ah-mazing. If it's just motivation you're looking for, a great monthly read would be the Robb Report.
In the mean time, answer me this: Aside from the possible sea-sickness aspect, wouldn't you be able to make this yacht your permanent, full-time home?
The chances
of actually being born on a leap day are one in 1,500. The few lucky stars who age ever so slowly with a February 29th birthday include:
Dinah Shore, American Singer and Actress, 1916-1994
Tony Robbins, American Motivational Speaker, 1960
Antonio Sabato, Jr. (yes please!!!), Italian-born actor, 1972
Pedro Zamora, Real World castmate and AIDS activist, 1972-1994
Ja Rule, American rapper and actor, 1976
And for those of you ladies who frustratingly passed by Valentine's Day without a proposal, here's your one chance for the next four years to "Put A Ring On It". That's because a well-known tradition in some European countries allows women to propose marriage on February 29th. This additional day is apparently the only time it is socially acceptable to switch this role. So be brave and go for it. If he turns you down, tradition states that he has to buy you gloves (to hide your ring-less finger) or give you money. So either way you'll get something out of it.
I'd like to hear from anyone who's birthday falls on Feb. 29th. Do you find it unique/neat or is it a pain in the butt. Holla and let the rest of us know.
I've professed my love of cape coats before (see here). I'm generally obsessed with the real world adaptation of this fairytale-style fashion, so I was happy to see Gwyneth Paltrow's take on this trend last night at the Oscars. Her snow white (pun intended) ensemble is by Tom Ford. Definitely my pick for best dressed.
WENN, Fame/Flynet
My choice for worst dressed would be Stacy Keibler in this Marchesa gown. Sorry, but it looks like a dress you'd see on the red carpet in the late 80's/mixed with an actual Oscar trophy:
Rinse the brussels sprouts while they are still whole
Steam the Brussels sprouts for 5 minutes to get the cooking started
Cut each Brussels sprout in half. This will allow for faster cooking and better overall sugar coating
Melt the butter in a medium saute pan
Add the steamed, cut Brussels sprouts to the pan and coat with the melted butter
Sprinkle the sugar evenly over the Brussels sprouts and stir frequently, keeping in mind that the sugar will cause them to burn faster than normal
Plate and serve when there's no more liquid butter and the Brussels sprouts have turned golden brown
Total saute time: 10-12 minutes
This is a great recipe for children who don't like eating veggies. Start them out on this candied treat. Once they are hooked, slowly cut back on the
sugar. It's saying a lot that my veggie-hating hubby has fallen in love with them.
For a savory version saute them in olive oil and garlic powder rather than butter and sugar until golden brown.
All the other prep work is the same.

I'm always trying to find the perfect song to sum up how much I miss my Dad.
There are so many, but only a few that really resonate with me throughout the entire song. Mainly, "One More Day" by Diamond Rio. I think every single lyric just perfectly speaks to what I dream for, beginning with the very first line. (I have the most crazy, vivid dreams that I almost always remember).
Last night I had a crazy dream A wish was granted just for me It could be for anything I didn't ask for money Or a mansion in Malibu I simply wished, for one more day with you
One more day One more time One more sunset, maybe I'd be satisfied But then again I know what it would do Leave me wishing still, for one more day with you
First thing I'd do, is pray for time to crawl Then I'd unplug the telephone And keep the TV off I'd hold you every second Say a million I love you's That's what I'd do, with one more day with you
One more day One more time One more sunset, maybe I'd be satisfied But then again I know what it would do Leave me wishing still, for one more day with you Leave me wishing still, for one more day
Leave me wishing still, for one more day
But I think I have a new fave. The chorus is just perfect. It's called "Live Forever" and it's by Drew Holcomb And The Neighbors. You will love it, check it out...
